Roll and Play is the best way to start getting your child into the concept of games. It's incredibly simple: roll the big fuzzy die, find a card that matches the colour on the top, and do what it says on the card!
Playing this when my kid was 2, it surprised me how many aspects to board games were packed into such a simple game:
- waiting your turn
- rolling dice
- only paying attention to what is on the top of the die
- matching colours
- picking from stacks of cards
Each card's activity is perfect for a 2-year-old. Simple things that they can do like finding something in the room of a certain colour, pretending to be an animal.
